Achievements/Biography: Jamie originally joined BMA in 1997. His practice focused on creditor-rights and commercial litigation including foreclosures, real-property litigation, landlord-tenant disputes, mechanic's liens, and bankruptcy. In 2005, Jamie became a vice president and in-house counsel for Aurora Loan Services, a Lehman Brothers company, gaining significant experience in the mortgage lending and servicing industry. Jamie returned to BMA on May 5, 2008 as a shareholder, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience in litigation matters across the country, a first-hand appreciation for the challenges facing our firm's clients, and an in-depth knowledge of relevant law including federal preemption, the Truth in Lending Act, the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and Colorado's new mortgage lending and broker laws and regulations.
